Nice panoramic shot of the Barber VMX course. This course was laid out on a mild slope/hillside, just above the lake. It was not a bad layout – if you like parking lots. There were zero natural obstacles. It’s just not right to run a scrambles/MX on a smooth course. They didn’t do that even in the ’60s. But, given what they had to work with, Jeff Smith and Dick Mann did a good job on layout. The entire track was visible to spectators.
